WHAT: JAMA will hold a media briefing to release new medical research on Cancer.
Leading researchers will present on topics that include:
· The Effectiveness of Radiation Therapy for Inoperable Lung Cancer
· The Availability and Scope of Palliative Care at Cancer Centers in the U.S.
· The Outcomes of Using Supplemental Chemotherapy for Older Patients With Colon Cancer
· The Status of the War on Cancer
The briefing will feature speakers from:
· American Cancer Society
· University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center
· University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
· University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center
The moderator will be Catherine D. DeAngelis, M.D., M.P.H.,
